We will be meeting as usual at 10.30am opposite Bevendean School between 115A and 117 Heath Hill Avenue and carry on clearing small scrub from the steep slopes of Card Board Hill to help preserve this valuable chalk grassland, home to many rare plants and insects that will be lost if it is all covered in scrub. We will be working with Emma our countryside ranger.
We will be using the incredible tree popper tools that pull small scrub up by the roots. Most people who have tried them enjoy the experience!
We usually finish by 13.00 but go as soon as you like.
